About Me...

I have worked as an embroiderer, lecturer and tutor for many years. I am especially fascinated with blackwork, whitework, counted thread techniques and crochet. Throughout my career I have taught classes in community education, given talks and day schools to groups throughout England, exhibited and worked to commission.

My recent interests have been in developing alternative approaches to blackwork away from the historical concepts, hence the logo:

 

Blackwork Journey Islamic architecture and geometric design are major influences on my designs and I have travelled extensively throughout the Middle East and Asia finding inspiration for my most recent work. I provide charts in PDF format and hard copy of my designs.
